Cydalima perspectalis

Box tree moth (Cydalima perspectalis) is an insect pest of Boxwoods. It is a native of Eastern Europe and was first detected in 2020.

The box tree moth can heavily defoliate boxwoods and when unchecked will cause the death of the plant. Boxwoods are used in landscaping.
