Peach fruit fly

Bactrocera zonata

Peach fruit fly (Bactrocera zonata) is an insect pest of soft fruits such as guava, peach, and mango. It is a native of Southeast Asia and was first detected in California.

This fruit fly infests soft fruits throughout Asia and the Middle East. A small infestation in California was eradicated. Not known as an aggressive pest.
