Granulate Ambrosia beetle (Xylosandrus crassiusculus) is an insect pest of ornamental, fruit and nut trees. It is a native of Asia and was first detected in South Carolina in the early 1970's.

Where it has been found, this insect is a significant pest of nurseries and orchards.
