Australian pine
Casuarina equisetifolia Australian pine (Casuarina equisetifolia) is an invasive plant. It is a native of Australasia and was first detected in North America. This tree was introduced to the United States the early 1900s and is now considered an invasive species. The plants are strongly suspected of having allelopathic properties, as evidenced by the near absence of understory plants near infested plants. |
