Acrolepiopsis sapporensis Allium leafminer (Acrolepiopsis sapporensis) is an insect pest of onion, garlic, scallion, shallot and leek. It is a native of Asia and was first detected in Hawaii. The larvae attack the leaves but sometimes also the scape, bulb or seed capsule.
