Pink bollworm
Pectinophora gossypiella Pink bollworm (Pectinophora gossypiella) is an insect pest of cotton bolls. It is a native of India and was first detected in Texas in 1917. The pink bollworm damages cotton bolls and provides an entry for other cotton diseases.
