Rhagoletis cerasi European cherry fruit fly (Rhagoletis cerasi) is an insect pest of cherry fruit. It is a native of Europe. This fly is a major pest of cherry crops in Europe. Brown spots become visible on fruit as the maggot develops inside. Not yet established in North America.
