Spider mite (Oligonychus palus) is a mite of banana. It is a native of Australia.
These mites are found in small populations on the underside of the banana leaves along the main middle vein. They produced little webbing and feeding by the mites caused yellow-white speckling that became yellow patches visible from the dorsal surface of the leaves.
