Candidatus Liberibacter africanus Citrus greening huanglongbing (African) (Candidatus Liberibacter africanus) is a bacterial pathogen of citrus. It is a native of Africa. Citrus greening is a devastating disease of citrus. It is spread by Diaphorina citri, a small, psyllid insect. The African strain is presumed to be less invasive than the Asian strain.
