Mistaken Identities:
This species may be confused with Cedusa inflata or Omolicna cubana (Derbidae). Haplaxius crudus may easily be confused with other species in the genus (e.g., H. fulvus, H. ovatus, and H. pusillus) from which it is best separated based on male genitalia.
