Morphological: This species can be identified by examining the male and female genitalia.
This species was previously called Cydia funebrana.
Mistaken Identities:
This pest may be easily confused with Grapholita molesta, which is common and widespread in North America. The two species are similar morphologically, share the same host plants, and are attracted to the same pheromone.
