Curly-leaved Pondweed (Potamogeton crispus) is an invasive weed of fresh water lakes, ponds, rivers and streams. It is a native of Eurasia in mid 1800s.
Tolerant to low light and low temperatures, this plant may become invasive, outcompeting native plants and forming dense mats of vegetation. This plant can be spread from one water body to another via improperly cleaned recreational equipment. |
