Golden Apple Snail (Pomacea canaliculata) is a mollusk pest of fresh water. It is a native of South America and was first detected in Hawaii in 1970s.

A serious pest to rice crops and taro, this pest is noted for its prolific appetite and production of bright pink egg masses.
