Oriental beetle
Anomala orientalis Oriental beetle (Anomala orientalis) is an insect pest. It is a native of Asia and was first detected in Mid-atlantic States of the USA in early 20th century. In its larval stage, the grub feeds on the roots of grasses while the adults feed on roses, phlox, and petunias. Sex pheromone traps are available to capture and kill the Oriental beetle.
