Bamboo Borer (Chlorophorus annularis ) is an insect pest of bamboo. It is a native of Asia and was first detected in Hawaii in 1968.

Interceptions occur frequently with imported bamboo, but this pest is not established in the Continental United States.

This insect pest has been identified by USDA-APHIS as a serious threat to US Agriculture and Natural Resources, and surveys have been planned for multiple states.
