Small pointed snail
Small pointed snail (Prietocella barbara) is a mollusk pest. It is a native of Mediterranean and was first detected in California.
Temperate terrestrial gastropods can cause damage by feeding on agricultural and horticultural crops as well as native plants, thereby lowering crop yields and crop qualityand they have the potential to transmit pathogens to humans indirectly when humans consume vegetables and fruits contaminated by snails.
